Raiders Studs: Derek Carr

Derek Carr played less than a quarter for the Las Vegas Raiders in this game, as he was injured near the goal line on a scramble to his right. The veteran quarterback pulled up short and grabbed at his groin, going straight to the locker room, ending his night, but hopefully not his season.

Carr has been a driving force for the Raiders this season and has been one of the main reasons they were still in the playoff conversation coming into this Thursday night matchup. He has had some struggles this season, primarily with ball security when being sacked, but has been excellent otherwise.

This should not be the end of the season for Derek Carr, but if it is, then he deserves all the credit and all the from Raider Nation for what he has done for the team this year. Many turned on him quickly on social media once Marcus Mariota got in and started playing well, but it would be unfair for them to turn their backs on Carr after he has given so much to this franchise.
