The Las Vegas Raiders saw their playoff hopes dashed with a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, here are 3 things we learned from the crushing defeat.

The Las Vegas Raiders and their topsy-turvy season took another wild turn in their Thursday Night Football matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. The AFC West foes traded leads all night long and it took a wild end of game sequence and overtime to decide the winner.

Before we got to overtime, both teams flubbed their lines in trying to close out the game, as the Chargers missed two pivotal field goals, and Marcus Mariota threw a potentially disastrous interception that was nearly returned for a touchdown. It was a clinic of bad coaching decisions and questionable execution by two teams that are not ready for the big time, but at least it was thrilling for the neutral fans.

The fallout of the loss is still being felt by the Raiders, as they are still technically in the playoff race, but would need a miracle to sneak in as the last wild card team. Las Vegas may also be with several key starters for the last two games, as they may seek to protect players like Derek Carr, Damon Arnette, and Johnathan Abram from further injury with so little to play for.

Regardless of what happens next this season, the Raiders of 2020 have been a wild ride and that continued in Week 15. Here are three things we learned from the heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
