Raiders linebacker prospect: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame

The Raiders attempted to improve the linebacker position by bringing in Cory Littleton this offseason, but in the end, it was holdover Nicholas Morrow who led the way in terms of the position group. Littleton has looked nothing like the prospect the Raiders paid a ton of money to this offseason, as he has not been as productive as he was with the Los Angeles Rams.

Next year, the Raiders should look to target the linebacker spot in the early rounds, and if Notre Dame’s Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah falls to them in the first round, they have to make him the selection. This is a kid who can play all over the field, is an elite tackler, and has shown he can cover tight ends or wideout at the college level.

Owusu-Koramoah is the kind of rover this defense is lacking, and he could play up in the box, or even drop deep in coverage. The Raiders’ passing defense has been a real Achilles Heel this season, and a guy like Owusu-Koramoah could check off a bunch of boxes with only one selection next year.
