Raiders defensive back prospect: Trevon Moehrig, TCU

Watching a Raiders game can be downright frustrating for the fan base, as it seems like the secondary is either blowing their coverage or are getting called for pass interference. This season, safety Johnathan Abram has had way too many issues in coverage and making some head-scratching plays, which has really hurt the team at times. He missed nearly his entire rookie season, so he is still learning the professional game, but outside of him, it is clear the Raiders just do not have enough talent at the safety position.

After selecting a corner in the first round last year, they add a talented safety in 2021, bringing in TCU’s Trevon Moehrig. While this could be seen as a stretch in the first round, this kid plays like a heat-seeking missile, is an elite tackler, and would give the Silver and Black two punishing safeties patrolling the middle of the defense.
