In the last mock draft we did, I had Andre Cisco going in the second round to the Raiders, but right now, the guys at the Draft Network aren’t as high on him, or don’t believe teams are that high on him. And the more I watch, this might be the more appropriate spot for him.

The Raiders have struggled to take the ball away for years now, and they are in desperate need of players on the backend of the defense who can change that. Cisco is about as good of a ball hawk as you’re going to find in this coming draft class.

He missed most of this season with an ACL tear, but he still has 27 combined interceptions and pass breakups in his career. That is elite level ball production, and those instincts are something you really can’t teach. With his range and ability to find the ball, he would pair nicely with Johnathan Abram, who is far more productive in the box than a deep player.

The ACL injury will need to be looked at, but plenty of players today have come back from that and performed well given the medical treatment available nowadays. And Cisco can be an all or nothing player because he is so aggressive going after the ball. That lack of polish is what will probably drop him a little further down, but the production is undeniable.
