Raiders left tackle Kolton Miller

Earlier in the season, it seemed like Kolton Miller could have been in line to make his first Pro Bowl, as he was playing incredibly well on an offensive line that was experiencing incredible turnover at several positions. Miller and center Rodney Hudson was anchoring the Raiders offensive line early in the season, but an injury forced Miller to miss two games, and that may have been the end of his candidacy.

Despite the injury, and some of the Raiders’ recent struggles, Miller has still been excellent, and one of the standouts on the offense. According to PFF, Miller has given up just one sack this season, and they have given him a 71.6 grade for the season, which is just behind Hudson’s 73.6.

The young offensive tackle has also been penalized for holding just once and has also committed just one false start in 12 games.

Pro Bowl selections for offensive linemen are usually based on team success, and perhaps if the Raiders were on track to finish 11-5 rather than 9-7 at best, then Miller could have earned his first nod. Miller is still just 25-years-old and is growing into the position, and if he continues to improve on the same trajectory, we could see him get a big extension and a Pro Bowl nod after the 2021 season.
