Maliek Collins, defensive tackle

Easily the most disappointing addition that Raiders brass made this off-season was a defensive tackle brought in to be an anchor on that side of the ball. Maliek Collins was brought in to help stabilize the defensive tackle position after a promising season with the Dallas Cowboys, and it was his experience with current defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli that had many praising the signing.

He was signed to a one-year deal that was worth up $6 million per Spotrac. During the summer, this looked like an incredible deal, as Collins was getting rave reviews from head coach Jon Gruden, but once the regular season started, it was all downhill for Collins, and really the defense as a whole.

Collins has started ten games for Las Vegas, notching 12 total tackles, just one quarterback hit, and zero tackles for a loss. It’s fair to say that the Raiders got anything but their money’s worth with Collins. Pro Football Focus shows an even more bleak picture, as the former Cowboy has been graded at 33.3 overall.
