Raiders Running Backs

Josh Jacobs – Start ‘Em

Jon Gruden is going to want to protect his quarterback against a fierce Dolphins defense, and in doing so, should be giving Josh Jacobs plenty of touches. The young running back is coming off his first Pro Bowl selection and should be feeling pretty good about himself and his ability coming into this game.

After Carr went down, Jacobs had himself a great game against the Chargers with 114 total yards and a rushing touchdown. He had a chance to take his game up a level with a few goal-line carries, but the Raiders’ struggles in that area of the field continued and ultimately cost them the game.

Jacobs will also have had over a week to recover physically from the matchup against the Chargers, and should be feeling good. The Dolphins are 23rd in the NFL in points given up to running backs, but also give up 120 yards rushing per game, and if the Raiders can establish the run, that should signal a big day for Jacobs so keep him in your lineups.

Devontae Booker – Sit ‘Em

Devontae Booker has been a nonfactor in recent weeks and should be treated as such this week. He is not getting anywhere near the carries or touches to justify a starting spot in your lineup, even in deeper leagues.
