Raiders vs. Dolphins Game Prediction

Given the recent performance of the Raiders, especially at home, it’s hard to envision Las Vegas coming out victorious against the Dolphins.  Derek Carr is slated to play despite the groin injury he suffered against the Chargers, as he practiced in full on Thursday, and was removed from the team’s injury list.

Linebackers Nick Kwiatkoski and Nicholas Morrow were added to the COVID 19 list this week and will miss this Saturday’s game against the Dolphins, as they join Clelin Ferrell, who will also be out with the shoulder injury that caused him to miss a game already.

The Dolphins’ defensive line will be able to get after a hobbled Carr, and this suddenly struggling Raiders offensive line, causing multiple turnovers, including a fumble and an interception.  The defense has failed to prove that they can hold an opponent under 30 points, so the offense will need to score on essentially every possession if they have to keep up with the Dolphins.

Unfortunately, they are not playing against their own defense, they are playing against a much better one.  The Dolphins will take an early double-digit lead on the Raiders, as the offense struggles to get going early, but eventually will close the gap on the Dolphins, and end the half within striking distance.

In the second half, the Dolphins will pull away, until the final ten minutes of the game, where the Raiders will put up some points to make the loss seem less than it actually was. That is how I see this playing out, as the Raiders lose their fifth in their last six games.

Final Score: Miami Dolphins 35 Las Vegas Raiders 27
