Raekwon McMillan whiffed on a crucial tackle

Las Vegas placed linebackers Nick Kwiatkoski and Nicholas Morrow on the reserve/COVID-19 list, which created an opportunity for Raekwon McMillan to handle an expanded role against his former team. Overall, McMillan had a solid outing, registering nine tackles, six solos, and one for loss.

However, he whiffed on a crucial play, which allowed running back Myles Gaskin to score on a 59-yard reception to answer Agholor’s touchdown:

Miami reached the end zone in three plays without much resistance. If McMillan makes the tackle and forces the Dolphins to use more clock, the Raiders could’ve likely taken their final offensive drive to the final seconds without having to kick the ball back to Miami.

Overall, the Raiders have seen some solid play from McMillan, and it will be interesting to see if he is a part of the plans moving forward.
