One last statement game for Derek Carr

It has been a tremendous season for Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, who went into the year wanting to silence some of his critics, and has done just that. With arguably his best season as a pro under his belt, the narrative of him not being the answer in Las Vegas should be silenced for a bit, at least until next offseason.

As he heads into Week 17, Carr will be looking to make one last statement before heading into another offseason where he is likely going to dominate the headlines around Raider Nation once again. Truth be told, he was not the reason this team failed to make the playoffs this season, as he handed the defense wins on a silver platter multiple times.

I believe Carr will have his best game of the 2020 NFL season on Sunday against Denver, winning in cold weather, and ending with only his second season at .500 or above in seven years as the starter. He will return as the QB1 in 2021, and with a bolstered defense, hopefully, the Raiders take the next step forward.
