Raiders need to keep their feet on the gas

One of the big issues with the Raiders all season has been the fact that they let teams off the hook when they are beating them soundly in the second half. For most of the year, it has seemed like Jon Gruden has been playing “not to lose,” instead of playing to win, and that has caused some late-game collapses.

When the Raiders played Denver earlier in the year, this was not the case, as they played opportunistic football all game long and pummeled their division rival. That was one of Gruden’s best games of the season, and to close out 2020, he has to put another good effort out there against Denver.

Three consecutive losing seasons since returning just is not going to work, as there are already rumblings that the team may have made a mistake by bringing him back into the fold. Las Vegas needs to close out this season with a win by any means necessary, and that means beating the Broncos convincingly.
