Looking at Week 17

For now, we have a Week 17 game against the Broncos in Denver and, like I’ve been saying on this site for several weeks now, I think the Raiders lose this game. Personally, I’m not as strong on it as I was before last week because I wanted this team to at least finish better than last year, but now that we’ve seen them be completely gutted in every way, shape and, form, for them to win this game will take a monumental effort for which I’m not sold that they have in them at this point.

This has been a really disappointing close to 2020 for the Raiders, and it is frustrating because I really like the organization and what it’s done the past two years. Like I also said before, I’d take the Raiders’ organization over the Broncos’ and Chargers’ at this point, as good is being done with the Raiders, but they just need to button up.

Here’s the lowdown with this Broncos matchup- the key is the fact that it’s at Mile High. Denver has lost four-of-six and six-of-ten to the Raiders overall, but at home, they are 7-1 in their last eight and winners of four straight.

They also just lost back-to-back games coming into this week and it hasn’t been since Weeks 1-3 that they’ve lost more than two straight games. On top of that, they’re also 3-1 against the spread in their last 4, 4-2 in their last six, and 9-6 against the spread as underdogs altogether while the Raiders are 1-4 in their last 5 against the spread and 1-5 in their last 6 outright.
