Desmond King II

The Silver and Black will need to do something about the slot position, as Joyner shouldn’t be in there, and Robertson is not ready judging by 2020. Perhaps, signing Desmond King II to a two or three-year deal could be a nice insurance policy depending on how the team restructures itself financially.

King’s 2020 campaign was a solid one by all accounts. PFF grades his coverage at 60.9, run defense at 78.4, and 70.6 in the pass rush department. This year, King was targeted 51 times and gave up 35 receptions to opposing quarterbacks.

Per PFF, he’s one of the best slot defenders, or at least he was during his Los Angeles Chargers tenure. With the Tenessee Titans, they point out that his coverage grade dipped to 50.5 in nine games.

King still has a lot of upside at 26, also let’s not forget, he was an All-Pro in 2018.  For the right price, the Raiders should at the very least, consider him.
