Devontae Booker had a few big moments in 2020

When Devontae Booker was signed this offseason, a lot of Raiders fans didn’t even give him much of a chance to even make the roster out of training camp. Not only did he make the team, but he was the second running back on the depth chart, meaning he’d be the main backup to starter Josh Jacobs.

For what the Raiders got Booker for, I would say that signing was a successful one.

Booker finished the season with 423 yards and three touchdowns, but unfortunately, his production did take a downturn as the offensive line struggles continued during the second half of the season. The majority of his yards came during the Raiders 6-3 start, and when he finally got his chance to start against the New York Jets due to an injury to Jacobs, he flopped, only totaling 50 rushing yards in the game,

However, Booker is a player that has at least earned another year or two backing up Jacobs, and I only expect him to get better as he gets more comfortable in the offense. He was a key pick up in free agency, and while it was not a huge splash when it happens, it ended up being a steal.
