The Las Vegas Raiders have a problem that few people would have predicted in the summer of 2020. At that time, the Raiders had Tyrell Williams and Henry Ruggs penciled in as the starting outside wide receivers, with Hunter Renfrow in the slot.

Nelson Agholor, rookie Bryan Edwards, and Zay Jones would provide depth as needed and that was the plan going into the season.

Of course, those plans went sideways after Tyrell Williams was placed on IR and due to injuries to both Ruggs and Edwards, Agholor emerged as the number one receiver in Las Vegas. Agholor far outperformed his contract, which was just for 1 year and $1,047,500, which is not far off the veteran minimum.

Agholor was a legitimate number one target for Derek Carr and an incredible deep threat as he put up career highs in yards and touchdowns and beat his career-high in yards per reception by more than 6 yards.  The former Eagle outperformed Williams’ first season by more than 200 yards and two touchdowns and thus presents the Raiders with a difficult choice they will have to make.
