Tyrell Williams was outstanding when healthy for the Raiders in 2019

Looking back, Tyrell Williams had himself a solid 2019 campaign, but that was only when he was actually available to the team. Williams signed a 4-year, $44 million deal with the Raiders before the 2019 season, and had to step in as WR1 due to the whole Antonio Brown fiasco.

What ensued was Williams playing very good football at times, as his 42 catches for 651 yards and six touchdowns led all Raiders receivers, but he was not fully healthy and missed two games with a foot injury. Based on the fact that he missed the entire 2020 season, that means Williams has played just 14 of a possible 32 games for the Raiders so far and that is not what you want from a player making more than $11 million a year.

The deep threat is due to make $11 million in 2021 but could be released with no penalty, even after the June 1st cutoff date. He has shown flashes of being a legitimate number one receiver and has a 1,000-yard season in his career, but his injury issues have to be a concern for the Raiders.

Also, with Agholor proving to be quite the deep threat himself this past season, something has got to give.
