We all know the Raiders need pass rushers, and I’m sure they will look to add players in free agency and the draft if possible. This is an area they have tried to address mightily in recent years, drafting players like Clelin Ferrell and Maxx Crosby, but they still are one of the worst teams in the NFL in terms of getting after the quarterback.

Although a more bendy speed rusher is something the Raiders lack, Carlos Basham Jr fits the profile of what the Raiders have been looking for under Gruden. He is a big physical 4-3 end, stout both against the run and as a pass rusher.

In 31 games, he racked up 33.5 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, and seven forced fumbles and can even provide flexibility as an inside rusher.

Basham may not have elite physical traits, but he brings great power and has plenty of pass-rushing tools to push the pocket. Plus, he is someone that can come right in and immediately contribute, which is what you need from a top 50 pick.
