In high school, Trevon Grimes was a highly-touted five-star recruit, but unfortunately, his college career did not go as planned. However, despite this, he showed plenty of flashes that reminded people of that talent, and if given time, he could be someone who really outplays his draft position.
A big receiver (6’4, 215lbs), Grimes is a viable deep threat with good speed and knows how to use his body in contested catch situations. And it could be someone who surprises teams with his athletic testing.
His routing running and overall lack of production are going to be concerns for teams, and with so much depth at receiver in the coming draft class, he could really fall down the boards. But Las Vegas won’t need to rely on him early and can take the time necessary to see what he can be with NFL level coaching.
