First and foremost, I know fans of the Las Vegas Raiders are pounding the table for an EDGE rusher, or a defensive tackle in the first round. I think fans need to remember that with this team, the more that the fans want something, the less likely Raiders brass will do it.

Remember this is the same management team that passed over Devin White and Josh Allen for Clelin Ferrell. Ferrell will be a solid player, but anyone that understands football knows this was a bad pick.

Nonetheless, the Silver and Black will need to address their defense often and early at April’s NFL Draft. Both their pass defense and inability to get to opposing quarterbacks was painful to watch for fans. The roster does have some promising talent at different key spots but it’s not enough.

New defensive coordinator Gus Bradley will look to turnaround the Raiders defense by implementing a different scheme than his predecessor. However, the team will require current players such as Johnathan Abram, Trayvon Mullen, and Amik Robertson to step up in 2021.

This will be key since, in this scenario, the Raiders move on from Lamarcus Joyner and then, they’re left with a void in their line after losing Johnathan Hankins to free agency.

So with that being said, let’s take at one plausible scenario for Las Vegas.
