Clelin Ferrell should develop more under Bradley

During his time in Seattle, Gus Bradley was able to accomplish a lot of good things, including helping Bruce Irvin develop into a legitimate pass rusher as a rookie. He was able to take a player with a bunch of talent and mold him into a guy who could get the edge, and that is something he must bring to a bad pass rush in Las Vegas.

One player who could stand to benefit from this is Clelin Ferrell, who is entering his third season in the NFL, and took a nice step forward in 2020. Sure, he is not the sack machine that the Raiders were hoping he would be when he was selected in front of Josh Allen with the No. 4 overall pick in 2019, but he did better against the run and should continue to develop in Year 3.

We have already seen what fellow 2019 draft pick Maxx Crosby can do off the edge, and he is another young player who is only going to get better. He has been an ironman for the Raiders since they took him in the fourth round that year and already has 17 sacks in his young career.

The addition of Bradley is going to help this entire defensive line, and for Ferrell, it could just what he needs to jumpstart his career in a big way in 2021.
