As the time ticked away on Sunday, and the Kansas City Chiefs were clinching their spot in the Super Bowl for the second straight season, fans of the Las Vegas Raiders had to be sick to their stomachs. In the first game of the day, they got to see Tom Brady, the man whose fumble should have led to the Raiders getting to the AFC title game back in 2003, clinch his tenth appearance in the big game.

Since that fateful day in January of 2003, Brady has led his team to numerous Super Bowls, while the Raiders, after making it the following year, have yet to be a real contender. In fact, since then, they have only made one playoff appearance, a game Connor Cook had to start in place of the injured Derek Carr back in the 2016 NFL season.

For Raiders fans, a matchup between the Chiefs, who is a hated rival, and Tom Brady, who is a player who has ripped their hearts out before is an absolute nightmare.

Raiders will see their hated rival team take on a hated rival player

Since inserting Patrick Mahomes as the starting quarterback, the Chiefs have not only been the team to beat in the AFC West but in the entire NFL. On Sunday, they showed just how dominant they can be, beating up a very good Buffalo Bills team in a game that really was not close after the team erased an early 9-0 lead.

Brady went into Lambeau and took care of business against the Green Bay Packers, showing that there is a lot left in the tank. With the win, the Bucs are actually the first team to host a Super Bowl in NFL history, as he proved that he does not have to play for Bill Belichick to get to the big game.

Two scenarios will play out in two weeks for Raiders fans. Either Mahomes and company win their second-straight Super Bowl, becoming the first team in 17 years to accomplish the feat, or Brady wins his seventh Super Bowl win. Either way, it is another dark Sunday for the Silver and Black, making a disappointing end to the regular season sting even harder entering the cold winter months.
