Defensive Raiders who should have been better in 2020: Cory Littleton

Heading into the 2020 season, it was pretty evident that the Las Vegas Raiders needed to revamp their linebacker room. They did so by bringing in two quality free agents in Cory Littleton from the Los Angeles Rams, and Nick Kwiatkoski from the Chicago Bears.

While Kwiatkoski played well in his first season in the Silver and Black, Littleton struggled all season long, looking lost at times in Paul Guenther’s defense. It was one of the biggest disappointments of the 2020 season, as he was a huge free agent signing, and was expected to come in and fix the issues on the second level.

New defensive coordinator Gus Bradley likes the physical skills of Littleton, and he will get a fresh start in his system this upcoming season. If he can be anything close to the player he was with the Rams, it instantly upgrades this Raiders defense, but that is a big if after what we saw from him this past season.
