The Las Vegas Raiders have major issues to take care of this offseason, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Lacking playmakers at all three levels according to general manager Mike Mayock, Las Vegas needs to utilize the NFL Draft and free agency to fix their issues heading into next season.

Saturday, we got to see some of the better prospects in the country go at it in the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl. Some players really stood out, including these three players, who could help this Raiders defense immediately.

Raiders could use a talent like Pittsburgh DB Damar Hamlin

It is no big secret that the Raiders have their issues in the secondary, and new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley is going to have to get that fixed immediately. There is some solid young talent back there, including Johnathan Abram and Trayvon Mullen, but overall, it is a group that lacks depth and experience.

Looking at the action on Saturday, one defensive back really stood out, and that was Damar Hamlin from Pitt. Hamlin was all over the field, collecting two tackles, including one solo, while also hauling in a beautiful toe-tap interception off of a tipped pass.

Hamlin was outstanding during his time at Pitt, starting all four years, and proving to be a versatile defensive back. He can play safety or cornerback, is an aggressive tackler, and has the athleticism to hang with NFL wideouts and tight ends. He would be an excellent addition to this young group of defensive backs.
