Michael Carter, RB, UNC

Sure, running back is not high on the Raiders’ list of needs this draft season, especially with a Pro Bowl player in Josh Jacobs atop the depth chart. However, one cannot look at Michael Carter from UNC and not see what would be a perfect complement to Jacobs in the backfield in 2021 and beyond.

Carter dominated the Senior Bowl, improving his draft stock, and possibly made himself a shoo-in to be taken in the second round. If he is available in the third round, the Raiders could make a play for him, as he would bring another dynamic skill set to an already solid offense.

Chauncey Golston, DL, Iowa

Chauncey Golston from Iowa was a guy who really stood out during the Senior Bowl week practices, and then looked dominating at times in-game action. Golston’s measurements were off the charts, and despite him playing the edge at Iowa, he was used almost exclusively at defensive tackle.

That kind of versatility could go a long way in him figuring into the Raiders’ draft plans, and while he has the size and strength to play at the next level, some see him as a Day 3 pick. If he is there on Day 3, he is a name that could be called by the Raiders.

Quinn Meinerz, OL, Wisconsin-Whitewater

One of the bigger stories of the week was the big fella exposing his belly, and that big fella was Quinn Meinerz from Wisconsin-Whitewater. A powerful interior offensive lineman, Meinerz not only held his own against players from bigger programs but proved to be one of the top prospects during the week.

He is another later round guy, but his ability to play both center and offensive guard has to put him on the Raiders radar.
