Oregon’s Jevon Holland

The most interesting of the bunch is safety Jevon Holland from Oregon, who was a sure-fire first-round pick after the 2019 season but held out in 2020 to prepare for the NFL draft.  He is the best athlete of the bunch, but the reason he falls to a late first, or second-round pick is he isn’t dominant in any one trait, just a solid overall player.

He’s been a playmaker since his high school days, playing as a wide receiver as well, while also being able to return kicks in 2019.

Another reason for pause when it comes to Holland is people don’t know exactly which position in the NFL he will play.  He could either play safety or in the slot as a cornerback if that is where the organization that drafts him deems he fits best. No matter if he’s a safety, or a slot corner, if the Raiders do decide to move on from Lamarcus Joyner, they will be looking for one of each.

Might as well grab a guy that could play either spot in the second round, right?
