Counterargument: Deshaun Watson on the Las Vegas Raiders
By Kevin Nolter
Raiders head coach Jon Gruden entering crucial Year 4
Although this is unlikely due to the contract Gruden signed to return as the Raiders Head Coach, one cannot help but think that he needs to do something to bring the Raiders back to greatness.
How much patience does Mark Davis have after building an immaculate stadium in Vegas, and how long does Gruden wait to try something different. With his record sitting at 19-29 so far in his second stint with the Raiders, Gruden could begin a new era with Deshaun Watson.
It is no secret that Jon Gruden has a strong bond with Derek Carr. The two live close together and practically show up at the building at the same time. The two are extremely hard workers and love the Raiders. Gruden knows that Carr is a good and smart QB, but why not try to improve upon the most important position in football?
More than likely, Derek Carr will be the Raiders QB to start the 2021 campaign, but it is still fun to entertain the idea of Deshaun Watson in silver and black. Derek Carr is and remains a great QB, but obviously needs more help on the defensive side of the ball to guide the Raiders to their first playoff berth since 2016.
