Top-2 QBs in the AFC in the AFC West?

If Watson were to land in Denver, the AFC West would have, by far, the best collection of quarterbacks in the NFL. While Mahomes is considered the top quarterback in the league, Watson is right up there in the top-5, and some believe he could be one of the three best at his position entering the 2021 season.

Derek Carr is a solid NFL quarterback and can win games at this level, but he is not the caliber of either Watson or Mahomes. In fact, some feel that Justin Herbert is the No. 2 quarterback in the division right now, but after only one season in the league, that is a hard statement to get behind.

If Watson landed in Denver, one-quarter of the Raiders games each season would be against either Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun Watson. When you throw Herbert into the equation, you are pretty much guaranteeing one of the toughest schedules in the league every year.

The Raiders defense already struggles to get stops against some average quarterbacks, so a slate full of Watson, Mahomes, and Herbet would hurt their chances of getting to the top of the AFC West for the foreseeable future. Sure, the Raiders have to beat these teams to win the division, but playing elite-level quarterbacks in every divisional game is a tall task for anyone.
