Raiders already face tough AFC West quarterbacks

The Las Vegas Raiders have had Derek Carr under center for them for the last seven seasons, and in that time, the team has clinched a playoff spot only one. Since then, we have seen a bunch of quarterbacks come through Kansas City and Denver, with only the Chargers having stability at the position in Philip Rivers.

Since Patrick Mahomes landed in Kansas City, taking over for Alex Smith, it has been one win after another. In fact, the Chiefs have only lost once since November 10, 2019, and that was a loss at home to the Las Vegas Raiders this past October.

During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Chargers replaced Rivers with Justin Herbert, and all he did is go out and win the AFC’s Rookie of the Year award this past season. He showed that he is a franchise quarterback in Year 1, giving the AFC West two young quarterbacks who can dominate the game already.

Adding Watson to a Denver roster that just reloaded at the skill positions would just be nightmare fuel.
