Las Vegas Raiders. Jaret Patterson. 161. player. 28. . Running Back

After going defense with their first four selections in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders turn their attention to the offensive side of the ball for the first time in the fifth round. With this selection, the Raiders bolster a position group that has a bonafide star atop the depth chart, bringing in a quality running back to team with Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs certainly shouldered the load this past season, finishing third in the NFL in carries, so help is definitely needed. If they decide to wait this long, a player like Michael Carter from UNC will be gone, but they could add a quality back in Jaret Patterson, who took college football by storm playing for Buffalo.

Patterson is going to fit perfectly at the next level as a No. 2 running back, and that is really all the Raiders are going to be expecting him to come in and do. Jacobs is a guy who is going to rack up 1,000 yards every year, but Patterson would be a nice change-of-pace back, and he is a guy who is not afraid to pound it inside.
