Maxx Crosby – DE

Maxx Crosby seems to be a steal as a 4th round pick from little-known Eastern Michigan University. In his rookie season, Crosby did not start all 16 games but still led the team with 10.0 sacks, clearly out-playing the 4th overall pick in Clelin Ferrell.

His play against the run was shaky, but with another off-season in the weight room, it was expected he would improve in that regard, but that didn’t happen.

Crosby once again failed to consistently hold the edge and contain the run, clearly needing to add weight and strength. His sack numbers also went down, though he still led the team with 7.0, and basically no help.

Despite taking a slight step down this season, Crosby still seems to be a solid pick, you could argue Mayock’s best in terms of value. It may be the case that Crosby is more suited as a situational pass-rusher who comes off of the bench in passing situations due to his struggles against the run, but solid speed rushers are hard to come by.

2020 Performance Grade: C+
