Hunter Renfrow – WR

Earlier, I said you could argue Maxx Crosby was Mayock’s best pick value-wise, well you could argue the same for the fifth-round pick out of Clemson Hunter Renfrow.

During his rookie season, Renfrow started only four games, but he saw a lot of action in the slot. He proved his nickname in college “3rd and Renfrow” to be accurate, showing reliability in situations the team needed a clutch reception finishing with 30 first downs.

He led the wide-receivers in receptions with 49 but was behind Tyrell Williams in yards.

In 2020, Renfrow showed much of the same. He again lead wide-receivers in receptions with 56 and was second in receiving yards (solely among receivers) with 656.

Renfrow has performed exactly as he was expected to, maybe better. One thing about Renfrow is that he was known for not being a flashy athlete, but he has actually been surprisingly really good when it comes to getting YAC.

He may not be the fastest but he is slippery and quick.

While he will likely never put up big-numbers, Hunter Renfrow is a solid slot-receiver who has done exactly what he was brought in to do, proving he was definitely a high-value pick in the 5th round.

2020 Performance Grade: A
