. Safety. Dallas Cowboys. Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix. 10. player. 123

Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix is another safety on the market who was with a team in the 2020 offseason, got released during training camp, and never found another home during the regular season. Clinton-Dix was expected to be the starter in Dallas, but was outplayed during training camp, and ended up being let go despite having $2.25 million guaranteed on his one year contract.

The fact that the Dallas Cowboys were so willing to let him go should give teams pause, but as recently as 2019 he was a productive player for the Chicago Bears. His 74.2 grade from PFF puts him firmly in the “good” category and his raw stats back it up as he recorded two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and 78 tackles.

Clinton-Dix has also been very durable over his seven-year career, playing in all 16 games in every season since he was picked in the first round by Green Bay in 2014. The fact that he was not signed to a team is still a mystery, but perhaps he chose to sit out with all of the COVID issues going on considering he was already paid his salary by the Cowboys.

Next. 4 players the Las Vegas Raiders should not give up on. dark

The former Alabama star is still just 28 years old and has no lengthy injury history, so despite missing the 2020 season, he is absolutely a player the Raiders should take a long look at. If they can bring in Clinton-Dix at a similar salary to what he was paid in Dallas, it would be an absolute steal for a starting free safety of his caliber.

This move would not even be considered a gamble at this point, but rather just a smart business move for a team that does not have much money to play with.
