Anthony Harris is next on this list of top tier safeties that could come in and make a difference right away for Las Vegas. Harris started his career as an undrafted free agent and worked his way up from a rotational player for Minnesota to a starter after four years.
He started two games as a 24-year old rookie but did not take on that role full-time until 2019.
After being elevated to a full-time starter, Harris had the best season of his career and was a Pro Bowl snub as he recorded six interceptions, 60 tackles, and 11 passes defended. He and the entire Vikings defense took a step back in 2020, but Harris started all 16 games and recorded 104 tackles, showing his willingness to stick his nose in there and bring down opposing ballcarriers.
After grinding for six years with the Vikings, Harris is looking for a payday and will likely get it. PFF predicts that he will receive a contract in the range of $14 million and if someone offers that he would do well to take it as he will be turning 30 this year. Washington is the favorite to do so, also according to PFF.
Harris is another top-tier free agent in this class that may be out of the price range of the Raiders but again, if they could make it work to bring him in it would address a major issue in a leaky defense.
