Raiders could find a trade partner with the Indianapolis Colts

With the retirement of Philip Rivers and no true answer at quarterback on the roster, Mariota could be perfect for the Indianapolis Colts. Most people speculated that the Colts would land long-time Lions QB Matthew Stafford, but with him landing in Los Angeles, and the only legit other possibility outside of their current quarterbacks on their roster being Carson Wentz, Mariota could be just as realistic an option.

The Colts have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, a great young running back in Jonathan Taylor, and one of the best young defenses in the league. Mariota would not have to try and do everything for the Colts, outside of making a few important throws a game.

The Colts could be a quarterback away from being a legit contender in the AFC, and if the asking price for Wentz is too high, there may not be a better option than Mariota.

The Colts do not have the most impressive group of wide receivers, as TY Hilton is on the decline, is heading into free agency, and Michael Pittman Jr has shown promise but is not proven yet. However, this problem can become less of an issue with Mariota’s ability to extend the play with his legs, something that Rivers was not able to do for the Colts.
