Taking over for Alex Smith with the Washington Football Team
Although the Washington Football Team barely won the worst division in NFL history, they still showed promise and a bright future that should see plenty of playoff appearances in the coming years. Washington has a talented young defense headlined by Chase Young, and unlike the other teams mentioned, have a legit elite receiver in Terry McLaurin.
Washington did just extend Taylor Heinicke, though I would be surprised if they are all in on him. There have been rumors that Washington has been reaching out to teams looking to trade for a quarterback, but their only real option outside of Mariota is Deshaun Watson, a player that is not a guarantee to get traded.
The odds of Washington bringing in Wentz is low considering they are in the same division.

Mariota would come into a good situation with a solid running back group, a great target in Terry McClaurin, and a great defense to take some weight off his shoulders. If Marcus Mariota is going to revive his career anywhere, Washington could be the best place to do it.
