In addition to swirling quarterback rumors, the Las Vegas Raiders reportedly have an interest in JuJu Smith-Schuster. However, it doesn’t seem like a fit.

Since Jon Gruden’s return, he’s had an attraction to Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers. During the 2018 draft, he traded for Martavis Bryant. Almost two years ago, the Las Vegas Raiders acquired Antonio Brown. Now, the club may have its sights set on JuJu Smith-Schuster.

ESPN’s John Clayton (h/t Andrew Filipponi of 93.7 The Fan) floated a rumor that the Raiders are “very interested” in Smith-Schuster.

Smith-Schuster fits the profile of a wideout who would catch Gruden’s eye because he can line up on the outside or in the slot. The Raiders’ lead skipper has often stressed the importance of knowing all three receiver positions.

Although the interest in Smith-Schuster seems legitimate from a veteran reporter, he’s not a probable match.
