5. Raiders OG Gabe Jackson

Savings if cut: $9.6 million

Last offseason, Gabe Jackson’s name came up in trade talks, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Between the 2018 and 2019 campaigns, he allowed 10 sacks, per Pro Football Focus, so that may have led to the team’s willingness to deal him for the right offer.

In 2020, Jackson didn’t allow any sacks, but he gave up 26 quarterback pressures, per PFF, which tied the most for him through a single season. The seven-year veteran doesn’t have any dead money left in the remaining two years of his contract. The Raiders can save a sizable amount of money if they release him.

However, with left guard Richie Incognito coming off an Achilles injury and also a potential cap casualty, Vegas may keep Jackson instead of starting over at both interior positions on the offensive line. The front office didn’t re-sign Denzelle Good yet.

He played most of the snaps at left guard in 2020.

Although Jackson isn’t playing at a Pro Bowl level, he’ll likely make the 2021 roster unless the Raiders absolutely need about $10 million for a move in free agency. Nevertheless, with a strong incoming offensive line class, the 29-year-old isn’t completely safe this offseason, but he’s further down the list.
