Iowa’s Daviyon Nixon’s rise will intrigue the Raiders’ front office.

Defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon spent his freshman year at Iowa Western Community College before joining the Iowa Hawkeyes as a redshirt in 2018. He had a relatively quiet sophomore campaign the following season, as he only started one game for the Hawkeyes in 2019.

However, his All-American 2020 collegiate campaign showed the world that he is budding with NFL potential.

Daviyon also earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2020. His awards are impressive, and most are aware by now of how Las Vegas’ brass is enamored with ‘high character’ prospects. Above all, Nixon is a high ceiling prospect with many accolades that likely will be at the Raiders draft board’s top come April.
