Raiders 2021 running back draft targets: Kylin Hill, Mississippi State

If you had told me two years ago that the Raiders would select Mississippi State running back Kylin Hill in the second round, I would’ve been thrilled.  He was considered one of the best, if not the best running back in the entire SEC at the time, mixing explosive runs and turning short passes into long touchdowns.

Now, in 2020, questions are surrounding the young man after leaving the Mississippi State program early in the 2020 season after just two games. Hill got injured and figured he’d be better off prepping for the draft rather than be stuck with a head coach who once said if he could call a game with zero runs he would.

Obviously, Hill, who was an All-SEC pick in the preseason, deserves better than not being used at all in his final season at the school. He did collect 23 receptions for 237 yards and a touchdown in those six games, though he only carried the ball 15 total times in that same span.

Kylin Hill is obviously a super talented runner with the ball in his hands whether or not it was a carry or a reception.  If the Raiders could get him in the fourth round, it could end up being a steal.
