Raiders 2021 running back draft targets: Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State

Like Kylin Hill, Chuba Hubbard has been one of the more talented running backs in all of college football these past couple of years.  But a controversy with his Head Coach Mike Gundy, and a shortened 2020 season caused him to leave school early to start preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft.

In the 2019 season, Hubbard had an astounding 2,094 yards and 21 touchdowns, proving himself to be one of the elite backs in the country. However, his production would’ve gone down significantly even if he didn’t leave early, with the high-powered passing offense that Oklahoma State has been known for in the past and went back to last season.

Hubbard has everything you look for in an NFL running back, and he is a guy who I could see going in the third or fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.  He is not only good on the football field, but will speak his mind and fight for what he believes in off the field as well, and could be a solid ambassador at the NFL level.

A team could decide to reach on Hubbard, taking him early based on his size and production, but if he is there in the fourth round, Mayock would have a perfect No. 2 behind Jacobs.
