Anyone who watched the Los Angeles Rams play a game this season knows of their excellent defense, as it was key to them reaching the Divisional Round despite quarterback Jared Goff. Although this defense is headlined by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, it is hard to ignore the play of John Johnson III, a player who should be a target of the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason.

A third-round pick in 2017, Johnson was a complete steal out of Boston College and is just coming into the prime of his career. He has started 48 games in four seasons for the Rams and is starting to emerge as one of the best safeties in football at 25 years old as he enters free agency this offseason.

In four seasons in Los Angeles, Johnson III has 8 eight interceptions, 32 passes defended, and 235 solo tackles. He is a guy who plays all over the field and would be a great addition to a secondary that seems to lack an identity.

A player like Johnson can only elevate the play of others around him, and when it comes to the safety group with the Raiders, his leadership could go a long way.
