The rumors have shifted from Derek Carr potentially being traded by the Las Vegas Raiders, to Derek Carr being extended, a move that will create a great divide within Raider Nation.

Out of every quarterback in the NFL, Derek Carr may be the most controversial one to debate about. Depending on who you talk to, Derek Carr is either a top ten quarterback or the worst thing to ever happen to the Raiders.

Whether or not Derek Carr is the answer at quarterback has been the biggest debate between Raiders fans and national media for years.

If rumors are true that the Raiders are shutting teams down about a trade and will extend him this offseason, which is likely true, it will end the debate if Carr is Gruden’s guy, but the debate of if extending Carr was the right choice will be as heated a discussion as any.

Some things about Carr that cannot be argued are that he is an extremely accurate quarterback that can make just about any throw you could ask. Carr has a great arm, athletic ability to extend plays with his legs (when he chooses to), and has proven that he can come up big for his team late in games with the game on the line.
