The future of Trent Brown

The future of Trent Brown has been one for speculation since last season, a year that saw him make the Pro Bowl in his first season in the Silver and Black despite injury issues. The issue with Brown has never been his talent, but the injuries have ravished his career so far with the Raiders.

With a $14 million salary-cap hit in 2021, Brown may be on his way out in Las Vegas, and his social media accounts would assume so as well. The Raiders actually did more than a serviceable job rotating players at the right tackle position in his absence this past season, and a cheaper option could be available.

Denzelle Good was the star among this group of depth guys to step in last season, playing up and down the line, including at right tackle. Brown has missed as many games as a Raider than he has played, and that is troubling considering his cap hit.

Also, his attitude and dedication to the Raiders have been questioned on more than one occasion since coming over from New England. Whatever the case is, this is going to be a storyline that dominates the headlines for the Raiders until it is clear he is coming back, or they release him.
