Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 Mock Draft Roundup entering March

CBS Sports – Ryan Wilson

  • Pick #17: LB Zaven Collins, Tulsa

Ryan Wilson and CBS Sports didn’t get the memo on the multi-round mock draft, but he does have the Raiders landing a player at a position of need in his latest full first-round mock. Focusing on the first round, he gave the Las Vegas Raiders the incredibly versatile Tulsa LB Zaven Collins.

"“The Raiders defense was a disaster last season, and Collins, who was a force in the middle of the field for Tulsa, has the athleticism to be a sideline-to-sideline playmaker in Las Vegas.”"

Collins is a unique prospect which is always tricky because his success could depend on where he goes. Hopefully, if the Raiders did go this direction, Jon Gruden and Gus Bradley would have a defined plan to get the most out of his talent.

A solid linebacker, and someone who can come up and play in the box, Collins would actually check off two needs for this Raiders team. The Raiders brought in two linebackers via free agency last year, and really only one of them worked out, as Nick Kwiatkoski had a solid year, and Cory Littleton took a step back.

A new defensive coordinator can do wonders for a franchise, and hopefully, Bradley can get the most out of whoever lines up for the Raiders in 2021.
