Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 Mock Draft Roundup entering March

NFL Network- Daniel Jeremiah

  • Pick #17: EDGE Kwity Paye, Michigan

Another first-round only mock. These big-name draft guys need to get with the program and give the people what they want. In all seriousness, Daniel Jeremiah always does a terrific job with his mock drafts, and he went with a  player who many feel is becoming the consensus selection for the Raiders this April.

NFL’s Daniel Jeremiah released his mock draft 2.0, and after having the Raiders take Notre Dame’s Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in his first mock, he decided to change his pick to Michigan’s Kwity Paye this time.

"“Paye would give the Raiders some much-needed speed and athleticism upfront. I’ve heard he’s going to put on a show at his pro day.”"

We talked about Paye’s athleticism earlier, so this comes as no surprise. The Raiders won’t be blitzing much in their new defensive scheme, so they need guys who can get to the quarterback quickly, and Paye does that.

I will undoubtedly be on the lookout for his pro-day numbers to see if the legends are true. If the Raiders go with Paye, they will be adding another former Michigan star along the defensive line, teaming him with Maurice Hurst, who continues to get better heading into Year 4.
