Raiders and Seattle Seahawks: Trade No. 2

  • Seattle Receives: QB Derek Carr, 2022 1st Round Pick, CB Damon Arnette, G Gabe Jackson
  • Las Vegas Receives: QB Russell Wilson, DE L.J Collier

This trade scenario relies a little bit more on Seattle’s level of interest in some of the Raiders’ players. A draft pick will turn into whoever the GM chooses, however, a current player is a little bit more tricky.

In this trade, the Seahawks acquire, again, QB Derek Carr to replace Wilson, as well as Raiders former 1st round pick Damon Arnette, and former Pro Bowl guard Gabe Jackson. Seattle is also given a 1st round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft in this trade, which sweetens the deal even more.

In Arnette, the Seahawks are getting a first-round talent who is a prototype for the Seattle/Pete Carroll defense. He has great size for a corner and is very strong with his hands, and could develop into Carroll’s next Richard Sherman while being paired with All-Pro Safety Jamal Adams.

Additionally, the Seahawks are gaining a Pro-Bowl caliber player in Gabe Jackson, who would immediately be in-play for the best lineman on the entire Seattle roster. It is not often in an NFL trade that a team acquires three different starting players, so this would be a success for Seattle in that regard.

This trade also gives the Raiders a developmental former 1st round pick at defensive end in L.J Collier, which would only enhance the value that they would be getting with an MVP-level QB.
