With their second choice in the second round, the Raiders pick up Patrick Jones II at pick No. 53 overall. Jones, who amassed 17.5 sacks over the last two years in the ACC for Pitt, could be exactly what the Raiders are lacking.

Standing at six-foot-five and weighing in at 260 pounds, Jones would come in to play edge, which is definitely an area of need for the Raiders. This is a team that mustered only 21 sacks as a team last season, with seven coming from Maxx Crosby.

It’s unlikely he’d be ready for any sort of snaps in coverage, an area that will need lots of work as Joe Marino of the Draft Network points out.

Nevertheless, he’s solid in defending the run, and showed he has the speed and burst to break up plays in the backfield. His 24 tackles for a loss these past two seasons certainly show potential for a promising NFL career.

Along Moses and Barmore, the Raiders’ front seven would have the potential to be special under Bradley’s tutelage.
