6 best players who spent only one season with the Raiders
Some of the best players in NFL history had short stints with the Las Vegas Raiders, here are 6 that stuck around for just one season
For decades the Las Vegas Raiders were known as a team where players could resurrect their careers after being cast off by their former teams. Al Davis and the Raiders organization were never scared to take chances on veteran players that other teams thought they may be past their primes.
Some of the notable names there include Rich Gannon and Jim Plunkett, but both of those players spent significant time in Oakland/LA, and became known primarily for their exploits in Silver and Black. Many others made pit stops with the Raiders before hanging up their pads for good while others hung around for a couple more seasons before doing the same.
The criteria here is not so much what these players achieved with the Raiders, but their careers as a whole, which were of course bolstered by their stints in Oakland or Los Angeles. Even though these fine players spent just one season with the Raiders, the saying still applies that “once a Raider, Always a Raider” and these players will always be associated with the legendary Silver and Black.
