Raiders address the defense in the second and third rounds.

This latest mock by Edwards is of the three-round kind, and in the second round, the Raiders add a player to a much-needed position group, defensive tackle. Levi Onwuzurike did not play in 2020, opting out due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that has done nothing to affect his draft status heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.

He is widely considered a second-round prospect, and I would have no problem with the team selecting him at No. 48 overall. Las Vegas has a solid young defensive tackle in Maurice Hurst, and should bring back Johnathan Hankins, so adding Onwuzurike would give them great depth in the interior of the defensive line.

Las Vegas did not stop there in terms of the defensive line, adding Pitt edge rusher Patrick Jones II with the No. 80 overall selection in Edwards’ mock draft. Jones is a dominant pass rusher and would give the Raiders some much-needed talent on the edge, where it has basically been the Maxx Crosby Show for the last two seasons.
